On July 8, 2021, Dr. Glenn Lipson will be presenting on the topic of loneliness as a contributor to violence potential.
Dr. Lipson has been applying the research on loneliness when assessing violence potential. He has been researching the relationship between Positive and Adverse Child Experiences (PACEs) and loneliness. These areas of inquiry lead to opinions and prevention approaches. Examples will be shared from actual cases that Vern Abila and Dr. Lipson have collaborated upon. They will also be discussing Negative Emotional Flooding, Polyvagal Trauma priming, and the fueling of the Zeigarnik effect by the media, groups, and the worldwide web. This presentation will also demonstrate the longstanding value of working as a multi-disciplinary team.
This training will be held by Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) Colorado Chapter.
