New Ethical Tools to Protect Schools

This panel shares positive developments that will address some of the erosion of public confidence stemming from the coverage in the press of employee sexual misconduct, standardized testing scandals and other media covered events. This panel will also discuss the Model Code of Educator Ethics (MCEE). This model of ethics will be used eventually in teacher education, certification, and is designed to assist decision-making that preserves boundaries and avoids the pitfalls of over, under or inappropriate involvement.
